Come dressed up as your favorite character - whether it is a tiny little rodent that shoots electricity out of its body, or a billionaire who flies around in an iron suit, or an evil queen who gives away poison apples to unsuspecting victims, or an imbecile who got elected as president, led the country to war and recession, and couldn’t even pronounce “nuclear” correctly! You can even collaborate with other TROPA members and be each others’ partners, sidekicks, or archnenemies! THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS. The person with the most outstanding costume WINS A VERY, VERY SPECIAL PRIZE! ;DWe will be watching two movies back-to-back: the Filipino horror movie “Feng Shui” and “The Immortals”, so get ready for some laughs, thrills, and scares!Note: The event will be open to anyone and everyone, BUT ONLY OFFICIAL TROPA MEMBERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO HAVE FOOD. All of you freeloaders won’t be getting any (edible) love at this event, ya dig? If you’d like to be an official member, please pay the membership fee of $10 to our treasurer, Jeremy Ureta. Just a taste of what TROPA’S 6th Annual PCN “Lupang Sinilangan” was all about! Thank you everyone for coming to watch the show! TROPA I hope you guys had that well deserved rest! Congratulations for a successful show :)

“Lupang Sinilangan” is the story of Benny, a young Pilipino-American whose life is turned upside-down as he is unexpectedly relocated from Los Angeles to Manila, from the place he grew up knowing to an unknown yet familiar place. Follow his journey of discovering both himself and his roots, where he will have to learn to embrace the past in order to move on to the future!

Fun in the Sun!
Hello everyone! Don’t forget that Tuesday, March 27th will be our 4th General Meeting R122 from 12-1pm! There will be tons of information about our Buzios Frozen Yogurt Fundraiser and Beach Day! YES YOU HEARD IT KIDS, there will be a beach day since there will be no school this Friday. This week is filled with funfunfun and a splash of sun!
Oh and don’t forget that if you were called and casted for our PCN, please remember that there is a MANDATORY meeting tomorrow, Monday, March 25th at CC204 at 4:10pm. Please do not be late! :)

Wear clothes that you can play games and get dirtayyy in! AND bring EXTRA clothes!**If you signed up on the carpool sign-in sheets at the meeting this past Tuesday, we shall be getting in touch with you through e-mail (or something) about carpool assignments. Just remember that if you DO need a ride to the picnic, you will have to be picked up at PCC and nowhere else. Hey tumblr! It’s Tropa welcoming a brand new and exciting semester! Today was our First General Meeting and we’d just like to thank everyone that was able to come out! Without you there Tropa wouldn’t be what it is today. I hope many more of you continue to come to our future meetings because this is just the tip of the iceberg. There are more events that will be coming in the future such as our spring picnic, beach day, LA marathon, and PCN!
Now on to some fun stuff:
This Saturday March 10 will be Tropa’s Spring Picnic! Come to Eaton Blanche Park in Pasadena from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. Enjoy a nice day at the park and get to know your awesome/sexy/wonderful board members and your awesome general members a little better with some exciting ice breakers and activities. Bring some extra clothes as for some activities may require getting down and dirty ;D And also remember that it is a potluck so feel free to bring something you can share with others! Externals are welcomed as well! Stop by if you can make it! Let’s get to know each other better and bring that Filipino fun on ;D
NOTE: There will be carpools in case you can’t get a ride to Eaton Blanche Park! Come to PCC at 9:00 am and we will take you there! After the picnic we can take you back to PCC.

TROPA’s Winter Wonderland Banquet
I hope you all did well on your finals because now it’s time to have fun and relax with your TROPAmiliya! This will be our last event of the semester and we have to end it right!
The Banquet will be at Elks Lodge in San Gabriel and it will be from 7:00pm-12:00am so you’ll know it’ll be a night filled with fun! (:
So come join us at banquet as we will be:
- looking back on the memories of our hardships, achievements, smiles, and SPUF we shared this semester
- giving out special prizes!!!!!
- serving good filipino food!
- raffling out some awesome prizes!
- dancing the night away
- having a photo booth
- passing over for the new board of Spring ‘12
- having a good time!! =D
